Amazing taste, amazing ambience! What more could one ask for! Absolutely delicious 3 egg omelette with the toppings and extremely friendly staff. Wish there was something like this near my house I could go to every day! Oh, and the walls are decked with historical photos that add to the uniqueness of the place!

Came on a Sunday around 10am, waiting line was pretty long but worth the wait. Ordered the bacon cheeseburger and it was huge n tasty. You have to check out the waitress who amazingly sets and serves 4 entree plates along side her L arm!!!

So happy we found this place! My family and I ordered breakfast. The food was delicious and generous portions made us all happy. Love the decor too as well as the cleanliness and friendly service. We definitely will return and try the lunch specials which looked really good too

We came for breakfast. We were greeted when we came in. Quick friendly service. The food was good and reasonably priced. The server was consistently topping off the coffee.

Wonderful breakfast! The 3 egg omelet is delicious. You can add the all the fillings you want for one low price of $6.75! The home fries were tasty too. My husband had the chicken fried steak. It was crispy and the gravy tasted homemade. Friendly staff. Great dining experience.

It is my second time here. Both times very good service and food. I had to rate it. It was a little wait but worth it. Very polite and professional. Clean eating area and was asked how my food was and if I needed anything else. Very family friendly atmosphere. "I'll be back.

Please do NOT order any of their so-called BBQ items !! Horrible is too kind a word for this rip-off segment of their menu. I would give them "Zero-Stars" if it was allowed. Especially the Brisket. NOT !! It was shredded roast beef, with some foul tasting stuff on it. The pulled pork was dry and old. The ribs, dry, awful, not good in any sense at all. The chicken tasted like it had been made days ago. One kind of BBQ sauce, and it was very watery and strange tasting. The beans were cold, cold, cold. On top of that they were Mexican-style pinto beans, not BBQ-style beans. The childrens hamburger was way over-cooked. Dry, charred black. Only saving grace was some soup that was included with the BBQ meals. The fries were ok, and my wife liked the fried potato chips . We only tasted the food, could not eat any more than we did. Left the plates full. We did not want to say anything bad, so we just paid the bill and left. And it took a long time to get served as well. Maybe they were de-frosting the old BBQ items. I don't know. I will never go back to that place. The items I saw on other people plates , were just plain old eggs and hot cakes, etc... I see no reason for all of these 5 Star reviews for this place. People must just like the servers, or the pictures on the walls. Congratulations to the owners for making a lot of money serving really bad food.

Came here for breakfast. The restaurant is a 50s theme. Pretty cool. The service was great. The manager was very friendly. The food was pretty good, all the food on our plates was gone! Fresh squeezed OJ too! Much better breakfast than the Esplendor Resorts, where we are staying. This place is just half mile away. Overall, good place!

Great food and very reasonable priced menu items! The best of all, Nicky the owner comes over and greats all his customers. Happens to be that today is my Bride's birthday so we enjoyed a delicious breakfast for her special day.

This is a must stop at, unless you want dinner, they close at two. The food is always great and the service is even better. This is an all American, back to the 50's diner with all the trimmings! Stop by and get filled up, at an affordable price and leave with a Smile on your face! You will be back the next time that you're with in 60 miles. Gary The third booth on the right is where you'll find me most mornings.

If you are an omelet lover, this is THE place. One price for 1-10 fillings....cannot beat that! And you are near the border, fresh home made salsa for the asking.

I enjoy breakfast at Nickel's -- friendly staff and very attentive! Busy but still seated quickly and served breakfast promptly and with a smile!

After a weekend at Esplendor, we stopped in at Nickels for a quick bite before heading home. I was a little puzzled by the fact that they say the place doesn't open until 9am. We pulled up at 8:50 and the sign said closed but the place was packed. We went ahead and walked in and got the last table (they turned in the open sign as we were parking). I was glad we didn't just leave when we saw the closed sign because once inside, it was a great place. The waitresses were sweet and attentive. Coffee was above par for a diner. The menu was pretty typical breakfast fare but the food was really good and the prices are fair. The place was squeaky clean and I really liked all the historic photos of Nogales on the walls.

Had the opportunity to spend a couple days in Rio Rico, a quiet, sleepy little town close to the Mexican Boarder. What a surprise and delight to have happened upon Nickel's Diner, in the little plaza where the IGA is. It is a new restaurant (only 2 months old) with really good food, great service and we had a piece of the best homemade peach pie ever! Wonderful crust! I am so happy to recommend them! Oops! Almost forgot to say that as a coffee lover, this was a really good cup of coffee.

I'm a Jersey boy, so I know diners, and this is a good one. The staff is very friendly, the all-American (with some Mexican) food is plentiful and delicious. Be sure to try the home-made cinnamon roll for breakfast. I travel through Rio Rico regularly, and I'll be sure to stop in for breakfast whenever I can.

Nickel's Diner is a welcome addition to our community! It is a fifties style diner and great place for breakfast or a burger. The slow roasted BBQ is awesome! They also have great milkshakes.

I have gone to this restaurant 6-times in the last three weeks. The food is excellent, service-excellent, prices more than reasonable, the place is immaculate, staff is very pleasant and appreciable that you come in and come back. my new local restaurant--after retiring from the restaurant business after 43-years. THEY WILL BE HERE FOR MANY YEARS TO COME IF OBAMA IS BOOTED FROM OFFICE IN NOVEMBER. HE DID NOT BUILD THIS BUSINESS!

Had breakfast here around 9am on a Sunday -- restaurant was busy but we were seated quickly. The food was great, served quickly by a nice, attentive staff, and VERY inexpensive. Decor is nice, if predictable, and the ambiance appropriately diner-like, despite it's strip mall location. Everything was clean and we felt comfortable there. We'll definitely be back for lunch!

I regularly go to Nickels Diner they always have great food and great service. We usually go for their awesome breakfast but have tried lunch and their burgers are equally delicious, a must try if you are in Rio Rico/Nogales. The only bad thing is that they close at 2p.m. but the price is very reasonable and the food is delicious!

Love this little spot in Rio Rico. I stopped by here during a recent trip to get a lunch to-go. It was a drive-by really for a quick lunch. The Diner was packed for lunch and yet it was sparkling clean and the staff was super friendly. My grilled chicken sandwich was perfect as were the accompanying (ample portion of) fries. I'd go back here in a heartbeat.

I regularly go to Nickels on the weekend for breakfast, and I've been very satisfied. The food is always delicious, and it tastes like it is real food (as oppressed to processed food). I don't even like curly fries, or at least I didn't until I had them here-made from potatoes and they soak them themselves in the restaurant. Very reasonable prices, very friendly, competent and hard working employees. Everyone there seems to love their job, which makes it a very pleasant place to dine. Food is fast. Refills are often. There is always someone there willing to help.

We were vacationing at the Esplendor Resort at Rio Rico and wanted something besides resort food. We looked up Nickel's Diner and read the reviews. We decided to give it a shot, and we were not disappointed. The service was "meh" but the food more than made up for it. The 3 egg omelette was delicious, and whatever seasonings are on their home fries was so satisfying. We decided to try a cinnamon roll also, which looked dry, but wasn't. It was all so very good. We ended our meal with milkshakes to go! What a pleasant experience this was! If we vacay out here again, we'll mos def be back!

Delicious Breakfast. The prices are excellent and the potatoes are so flavorful. I had the special and the kids had pancakes and waffles. Everybody was happy. My only complaint would be the syrup. This place feels so authentic, and the syrup is not.
